IF YOU WANT TO HAVE MORE SELF RESPECT

If you want to have more self respect, confidence and mental toughness... you need to work harder and be more disciplined, as simple as that. DO what you tell people you're going to do and never stop working until you finally reach a certain level that will make you feel good and proud of yourself. I know you can't be proud of yourself now, I know your confidence was too low because you're not focused on getting better, you're focused on what other people are doing, you're focused on the distractions. But if you will really grind and hustle for a lot of hours each day, if you will do what most people can't do then you will have a high self esteem. Every action that you take must be related to the improvement of your life, that is how to change, that is how to have more self respect to yourself. Because you will never become confident if you're not working hard and just scrolling on facebook all day long, you will never get better if you always bite the trap of instant gratification. Be aware of what you are doing and about to do, never show any signs of weakness whenever you are tired, never rest when you don't need it, you have to push yourself like never before and keep trying whenever you fail. Self respect simply means doing the right thing, it's taking care of yourself, it's making yourself stronger and putting yourself on a better position to succeed, it means you need to be a no nonsense guy and stop wasting your time for easy activities that will make you weak and slow. Because you are the only one who is sabotaging yourself, you're the only one who is making yourself weak and nobody else. It's your fault why you have a low self esteem, it's your fault why you are insecure and acting like a low level person, it's because you're too lazy and wasting a lot of time that you could have use to make your life 10x better than what it use to be. Train your mind and body to get faster, train yourself to face the pain of sacrificing. Sacrificing is really not a sacrifice, most people consider it as a sacrifice because it's harder than their usual habits. 

Exercising is not a sacrifice, studying is not a sacrifice, choosing delayed gratification is not a sacrifice. How can you call it a sacrifice if all these activity does is make you better and reward you in the future. Sacrifice is really taking care of yourself, it's taking care of your life and the people around you. The harder you work on yourself the better you become. So invest your time for yourself and your goals only, never waste your time for pleasures that will make your life worse. The time for starting is now, do what is hard, do what is uncomfortable and it will give you more self respect, it will give you a stronger mind and body that will make you feel really good of yourself.
