To avoid being stunned, to avoid freaking out when something new happens... you need to have a lot of experiences in life, you need to experience the worst case scenario so the moment it hits you again... you will feel nothing, it's nothing, it will not even scare you at all, you will keep moving forward and change the situation according to your will. If you have a lot of experience about something then you will never be afraid of it anymore once you experience it again. The situation maybe a little bit different but if it is somehow similar to your previous experiences then you will never be scared of it, you will never be frightened, you will just laugh at it and swallow it like an animal hungry for another experience. What makes you scared about something is you didn't know anything about it, you haven't felt it before. Imagine if you're lost in a country that you just recently move in... what do you think will happen to you? how will you react? what will be the pattern of your thought? You will never get lost if you have a lot of references in life. But I'm not saying that if you don't have any references for a particular situation then you will never be able to get away from it, of course not, you can still find a way even if you're inexperience about something. The point here is you can adapt and improvise more with the situation if it's nothing new to you. Just like having a sprain ankle for the third time... you will not panic about it because you already experienced it before, it is nothing new to you and you already knew the solutions how to heal it. It is not a problem anymore, it's just another day that will go away.
If you have a lot of experience in losing then you will never become scared of losing gain, it will somehow make you feel invincible. You know how to handle it, you know how to cope up with it, it will never even make you feel bad. It's just another day that will go away, all you have to do is wait and that's it... the pain is gone just like that.
So if you wanted to be good at something... repeat it over and over again, have a lot of experience from it. Have you seen a guy who keeps on applying for a job and keeps getting it? He is not afraid to resign when he doesn't want the job anymore and he will apply for a new one and he keeps on getting it. It's not that he is charming or a genius, it's just that he has a lot of references about the interview, he knows a lot of technique and timing that's why he keeps on succeeding. Of course he got rejected a lot of times but he also learned a lot from those rejections that's why he's very confident that he can land another one after leaving the present one.
If you have a lot of traumatic experiences about different things then it's good. You will become tough you will not be afraid to face any challenges, you know you can thrive in any given time. Experience is the best teacher, it's like a lecture notes that you can go back and get something to use every time you face a difficult challenge. That is why champions are very hard to beat... they have a lot of experience before becoming the number one, they knew how to handle different angles of challenges. They can pull out something from their past experiences.
Something that powers your mind. It is about motivation, self discipline, mental toughness, success, self development, achieving goals, techniques and ways to give you advantages in life.
