SWALLOW YOUR PRIDE IN THE BEGINNING

If you're at the bottom... you should accept everything that is being offered. Swallow your pride, eat shits if you need to, wipe ass if you need to, drink some mud and count some hair. It is hard in the beginning especially if you don't have any position or power. Of course you will follow some instructions from people whom you don't like, you will look like a toy dog that will follow every instructions that was fed on him. Look at those NBA rookies, even if they were popular... they were still following instructions from coach, the veterans were bullying him, they have no choice but to follow because if they don't... they're in big trouble, they will get the punishment for their actions.

Swallow your pride while you don't have the power yet, accept what was being offered, devour all the opportunities presented. Just like a young man who recently graduated in college... he can't be choosing jobs, he can't be aspiring for a higher position that fast, he needs to accept any job that is available and when he already have enough money and experience... he can leave the company and look for better offers. Once you have the power then you can do anything you want, as simple as that. But for the meantime, play low key, play humble, just reveal your true colors when you already have the power to answer or refuse what is being ask of you.

If you're poor and doesn't have any money at the moment... don't act like you're rich, don't act like you can reject an ugly offer anytime, if you have to sweep floor on the streets then do it. Always remember that if you don't have the power then you don't have the right to reject any offer. Swallow your pride, do what is needed and don't be afraid to look stupid or hilarious. Don't be afraid to get belittled by someone, it's all part of the process, it's all in the beginning. Your situation or position will change if you persevere, you will succeed if you have the tenacity to keep going and do what is needed to make your life better.

It is what it is, everyone gets bullied in the beginning, you have to follow what your boss tells you. Even the bosses now... they were also bullied when they were just starting their careers, they also swallowed their pride and take everything that is being offered. Don't try to act like your rich and can afford to have no job for a long time, you're not a millionaire, you're not popular, swallow your pride and do what is ask of you.

Because if you will act like you have the power even if you don't have... someone will get mad at you, someone who's in higher position will remind you how weak you are, you will get punished, you will suffer and your hopes of getting a higher position will be stopped. Your momentum will go slower, you will have to start from the very beginning again. Swallow your pride, it's only in the beginning, just persevere and you will have a higher position in the long run.
