You can have the nicest process in the world, you can have a perfect and sound game plan, you can have all the tools to make you better but the question is... can you stay consistent with it? can you do it everyday? you can have all the support and best equipment or coaches to help you but can you stay committed? Commitment is better than any kind of process, showing up everyday will have a big impact on your journey.
You can have the most high tech thread mill that you can use for exercise, you can have the best shoes for running, you can have the highest paid coach but the question is can you show up everyday? Because it's not about what you have, it's about what you do with what you have. There are lot of people who will keep on looking for something before they start. They will look for the best coach, best outfit, best place, best everything before they start. The funny thing is they will just do the process for how many days and then they will quit, they will go back to their old lazy habits. You must understand that this is not a sprint, this is a marathon. It's not how high tech you are, it's not how good looking you are... it's about consistency and tenacity. Can you do it everyday? can you stay tenacious when you're feeling lazy and tired? can you force yourself to just do it no matter what?
YOU'RE JUST MAKING AN EXCUSE THAT'S WHY YOU'RE ALWAYS LOOKING FOR SOMETHING
You're always looking for a help, you're always looking for good things, you're always looking for a perfect situation, the truth is you don't even need anything before you start. You can show up empty handed without anything, you can still move despite of having zero in your hands. You can succeed by starting from the bottom, you can work hard without nice clothes, nice shoes, etc. Because you can have everything you need but still feel lazy, it all depends on how bad do you want it. There are some runners in africa who made it to the olympics by running barefoot, could you believe that? there are some people who can't read and write but made millions. You can have everything you need but still fail. Because if you're not consistent, if you will not do it everyday then you will still fail. Consistency is what you need, not the beautiful things, not the fancy shoes or clothes, not the strong support... it's work ethic and showing up everyday, as simple as that.
I have a fat friend who has a gym in his house, he is rich, he have everything he need but he can't cut his weight because he has no will, he will just exercise whenever he is comfortable, and that is why he looks like a bum. He is so full of crap and making a lot of excuses, sometimes he will even tell everyone that he needs to buy this first or buy that before he begin.
CONSISTENCY OVER ANYTHING
Don't look for results right away, don't look for a perfect situation, don't look for anything before you start. Forget everything, you just have to start now and do it again tomorrow and next next day and so on. That's what you need to be focusing on. It's action, it's taking massive massive action and nothing else. You can have the nicest Jordans or Nike shoes, you can have the best coach, you can watch all the motivational videos but if you will not utilize your time very well then you will never achieve anything... as simple as that. Because work is the only thing that will get the job done and nothing else. Don't worry if your pace is too slow, don't worry if you can't get any results yet for now... just keep moving forward and you will see the sunshine one day, you will see the silver lining, you will get what you want. There is no way you can't get it if you really want it, as simple as that. Never check for results... just do what you can do, never mind if you're giving too much effort on your work, it's ok, just have fun because enjoying what you're doing will make the process so much easier. Just keep pushing yourself, do it even if you feel lazy, do it even if you feel like not doing it. Once you mastered consistency... it will be a lot easier for you to succeed.
THINGS TO DO TO BECOME CONSISTENT
1. Always go hard. Don't be too soft, stop making excuses, just show up and do it everyday, do whatever it takes to force yourself to take actions. Take massive actions and never take days off. Always think that you have to do it or else you will fail, scare yourself, remind yourself that failure will lead to a miserable life, remind yourself that you're chasing greatness and you will never stop until you become very successful. Stop looking for comfort all the time, you will have a comfortable life later once you reach your goals. Don't rest in the middle, rest in the end. Do whatever it takes to keep pushing forward and make some small progress.
2. Stop checking results every now and then. You feel bad and lazy because you can't see some progress. Guess what... every time you move you're already making some progress, you just can't see it now because you're expecting too much. Stop looking for huge strides, stop wishing for a shortcut, it will be yours in just a matter of time, you have to work hard for now and endure all the pain if you really want to become a huge success. Because you don't need to become a fast millionaire, you don't need to become jacked up with steroids, you don't need to compare yourself with other people's success. Enjoy your own journey and never fast forward the process.
3. Believe in yourself. Believe that you already won, believe that you can do it, always believe in yourself. Have some confidence with your process and trust that it will work with the right amount of effort exerted. Because if you will not believe in yourself then you're not going to make it... as simple as that, keep believing in yourself, keep surviving the habit, just do it now, survive the habit now and never kill the momentum.
