If you feel good about it, if you really work hard for it and consider it a success then it is a success, you don't need to ask for people if it is really a success or not, you don't need to compare it with the success of other people, if you feel great about it and it's something you can be proud of then it is a success.
No need for rewards, no need for recognition, no need for appreciation from other people... if you feel like a winner because of it then it's really a success.
Even if they judge it as a small thing, forget about what they say, what matters is you sweat for it and you push yourself to make it happen, you know that you didn't take shortcuts, you know that you didn't take an easy road just to get it.
A lot of people were complicating success, they think that it's about big houses, luxury cars, big money and popularity. Some people don't feel good about those things, now was it a success if you don't feel good about something?
Everybody has his own definition of success, you don't need to compare your success with the success of others, if you really feel that you gave your best to achieve something then there is nothing else to prove, no need to make people believe that you're successful because you already are.
