Bullies keeps on bullying because they were so insecure, they want attention, they have to convince everyone including themselves that they were the superior and they need a lot of respect. If you're really strong you don't need to convince everyone anymore, they will believe you if you're real. They want to command attention, they want to display their power but the truth is... a real powerful human being doesn't need to display his power anymore, he just knew he is powerful, he just knew he don't need to impress anyone.
Bullies only attack people who were weaker than them, they never attack people who were strong and intimidating too. Once the bully feel that you're weak... you immediately become a target, he will annoy you, tease you and make you feel helpless. He will embarrass you and make sure you submit to his will.
