Experience is the best teacher... it is.

When you listen to your math professor and take down the notes that was written on the blackboard, do you think you already learned something? Of course not, don't act like it is already embedded on your mind, you haven't learned anything yet unless you tried it.

If you don't know anything in life, if you weren't able to go to school and you want to succeed... just keep experiencing different things. Experience will teach you what is not thought in school. Experience will make you a different person, it will make you a full grown man. Especially if you are always striving to learn and grow. Experience is free, all you need to do is experience it and be attentive with the details of it.

You can read all the books, you can listen to different gurus about anything but if you will not apply those knowledge then you still haven't learn anything. Your experience is still empty, you still don't know what to do in real situation.

Once you learn something... try it or else you will forget it. Apply it in real life, experience it and suck the knowledge from it. You can only get the best knowledge from experience, it will give you the real lessons in life. You will never get the real lessons from videos, notes, instructions etc. You need to apply it to yourself.
