It's not the results that will make you feel you already changed, it's not getting something bigger... it's in the habits. If you want to experience change then you must change your habits. A little tweak on everything you do will make you feel something changed in your life. It can be simply working for longer hours, believing in yourself more, doing more, disciplining yourself more, cutting all the BS, ignoring some of your toxic friends etc. It can be done now, change can happen now if you will stop doing what you're doing yesterday. It's too simple. Just be faster, harder, more committed and changed already take place. Some people think that it's about money, making results, winning etc. They are complicating change, change is not fast, it will happen gradually, it needs time that's why you need to focus on what you want and stop doing stupid things that will derail your progress. Change is patience, you need to take it one step at a time, be consistent or else it will never take place, you will go back to zero if you're not patient, it's like taking care of a baby, you need to be mindful every second, be aware of what's going on if you don't want to fail.
STRESS IS THE DETERMINANT OF CHANGE
If it's hard then it means change is already taking place. If it's easy then you're the same bum as yesterday, as simple as that. You can't be doing the same thing and expect to improve. There are levels to this game, as the level goes harder the problems become harder too, you can't choose an easy route because it will never make you grow. Whenever you're feeling bad or anxious because working on yourself... that's a good sign, you're already changing. Whenever you're pushing yourself, that's already changing. So keep pushing and see what is possible if you discipline yourself, make a plan and follow it even if it's not working. You have to make sacrifices, you have to pick the right choices.
MAKE IT SLOW
Don't rush it, building a very good habit takes time. You need to be mindful, awareness is the key, knowing what you're doing every second is essential to make the habit stay forever. Human beings were known for auto pilot actions, we're doing what we're doing because we already did it a thousand times, we don't think anymore while doing it. Change doesn't need to be fast, and you can't make it happen by being fast. You don't need to compete with others, you need to compete against your old self. Break your records in the past, do more than yesterday, make sure you are getting a little bit better. It doesn't matter if the improvement is so small, what matters is you are improving. If you only improved .008% then be happy because it's still a progress. Keep pushing all the time, you have to watch yourself, be mindful all the time of your actions and thoughts.
AVOID FEELING GOOD ALL THE TIME
You're too addicted to good feelings and that's why you can't change. Comfort will never give you any changes. Your mind should be stronger than your emotions. Your mind should be in control not your emotions. Because your emotions is always telling you to stop and just take the safest path, your emotions will tell you to rest a little bit even if you're not tired yet, your emotions is always telling you to do the opposite of what mind is telling. Your mind should think the right way, it should give the right instructions and your body must follow it all the time. Your emotions is so overrated, you're prioritizing it too much and that's why you're so stuck in your ugly position.
DETACH FROM THE PAST
Stop labeling yourself as the person in the past. Stop thinking that you're not good enough, stop thinking that you're not lucky. Create a new identity, stop dealing with the past and deal with what's going on now. Don't feel guilty if you did a lot of mistakes in the past, it is what it is, you can never change it anymore even if you kill ten chickens, accept it and move on. Welcome the new opportunities that will come into your life, forget everything. Forget your first love, forget your failures, forget your high school crush, forget all the embarrassment, forget your dirty thoughts, and see a new you. Thinking about past is very addictive, it's making you feel good a little bit but it will never help you. You have to create a new identity. Speak better, choose new words, think of yourself as someone who's more mature and will do the right things this time.
DON'T DO IT FOR THEM, DO IT FOR YOURSELF
Sometimes you wanted to change because you want to impress people, you want to prove to them that you're good too, you want to change their opinions about you, and that's why you can't make a change. Change should be done for yourself. Do it for the love of yourself, don't do it because you're competing or trying to change their minds and perspective about you. If you will do it for yourself then the resistance will go, you will feel self love, the evolution will become faster. Don't be afraid to go all in, don't be afraid to take massive actions. It doesn't matter how long will it take to become successful... just keep pushing forward no matter what and try to become a little bit better than yesterday.
LOOK FOR AN ENTERTAINMENT SEDUCING YOU AND STOP ENGAGING WITH IT
If there is an instant pleasure seducing you like watching and NBA finals, or seeing a gossip on the internet... stop engaging, focus on what you're trying to accomplish. It is what it is, you want change right? so learn to make sacrifices, learn how to deal with temptations, avoid them, remind yourself that you're losing a lot of money if you will choose to entertain yourself. Those seconds that you are losing is critical, you think a few minutes will spare you? you think that small breaks every now and then will not affect your journey? wake up, you need all of those seconds and minutes if you want to take your life to another level. Choose sacrifices over instant gratification, yeah you will feel much better if you allow yourself to have fun a little bit but it will pull you down, you will pay the price later, life will become much difficult. So struggle now, feel the pain now, embrace boredom now and reap the rewards of your sacrifices later.
