Don't be overwhelmed by beauty because the real beauty will be gauged by its effectiveness and not by how it looks.

A lot of people wanted to look cute, they were concerned about their looks that is why they can't become effective. They do this because they want to impress people, and trying to impress people means not being yourself and not being yourself means you are not showcasing your true colors and skills, the results is... failure.

To become really successful, you need to be true to yourself. You need to execute actions that are natural, you have to speak naturally, dress naturally and behave naturally. Nothing should be scripted or fabricated. Everything should be according to your real personality and nothing else.

For example in basketball, you can have the nastiest crossover dribbles, fanciest dunks and highest leap but if you can't make your team win then those flashiness doesn't mean anything. You can wow the crowd with your fancy moves but if you can only contribute a little to your team then those cheers from the crowd are just noise, it doesn't mean anything. You can have the most basic and simplest moves but if you are effective and you can make your team win then you are a hero, it means you are doing the right thing. You are not trying to impress people but they were impressed with you because of your ability to win ball games and be effective on the court the way a star player should be.

There are some cases in hollywood where the star of the movie is not as beautiful as the supporting role, the star is only simple and her beauty cannot even make people amazed. But the answer for this is very simple, the star is a good actress and she can play the starring role that was given to her, she can play it magnificently. On the other hand, the supporting role.. despite of being very beautiful and charming cannot act at the highest level that is why her role is only for supporting. It is not all about beauty, it is also about what you can bring on the table.

Let's put it this way, if you were to pick a shoes between two choices, are you going to pick a shoe that is really nice but doesn't have a good quality or are you going to pick something that is simple but will last for a very long time?

You can use your own style even if it is ugly, you can use your own technique even if it is very basic for as long as it is very effective... you will go very far.
