Optimism will always succeed, believing that something will happen will make you successful, there is no other way around. If you will choose to be pessimist then you will only take negative actions, you will never work, you will never give yourself a chance to become successful.
Just believe and move forward, good things will happen for those people who believe, it may look impossible right now but if you will trust yourself and take one small positive action at a time then you will attract the better opportunities rather than the bad ones. It's only hard in the beginning but it will become better in the end.
Did you see a negative person who succeed? did you see a non believer who made it in life? if you want to become successful then you better start believing now. Be an optimistic, develop a habit of always believing, it's not bad to believe in something.
